Hall Bartlett had partnered with Michael J Lasky in 1982 and developed over a dozen projects over an eleven-year period.  Michael had optioned the rights to Catch Me If You Can as the producer and originally hoped for Hall to direct. The rights were eventually sold to Steven Spielberg’s company, but this film project was initially packaged as a three-picture slate which included the re-mastering of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. The new production team included Robert Watts (of Spielberg and Lucas fame) as a production executive whose exemplary credit list includes eight blockbuster motion pictures. Michael became the executive to manage the Jonathan Livingston Seagull Company, and development producer for Hall Bartlett Films. This team led by Bartlett continued to develop a dozen feature film projects that included stars such as Marlon Brando, Sofia Loren, Pricilla Presley and Anthony Quinn.
Hall Bartlett is survived by two daughters and was previously married to Lois Butler, actresses Lupita Ferrer and Rhonda Fleming. He passed on September 7, 1993 in Bel Air, California.
